The Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Social Studies, University of Szeged, is organizing a professional training program titled "Evidence-Based, Innovative Nursing Interventions."

Healthcare Legal Knowledge – 2-hour theory

10:30-12:00

Application of Patient Assessment Scales (MUST, BORG, Bristol, Phlebitis, Asepsis, Fall Risk, MNA, Norton, Braden, Russek) – 2-hour theory

12:00-12:30 – Lunch Break


12:30-15:30

Resuscitation Practice – 3-hour practical session

Indications for Safety Equipment (cannulas, in-line filters, syringes, ports, valves, passive and active systems, infusion solutions) – Lecturer: Pál Bakó, MSc


Definition and Consequences of Malnutrition (nasogastric and post-pyloric tube feeding, medication administration via tubes/stoma, aspiration prevention, required tools) – Lecturer: Erika Nagy, MSc


Non-Invasive Blood Pressure Measurement (cardinal symptoms, types of monitors, plethysmography, ultrasound, pulse wave velocity, tonometry, telemetry, EASY modular method) – Lecturer: Pál Bakó, MSc


Innovations in Hygienic Patient Care (shampoo caps, bathing wipes, ergonomic bedpans, stool management, development of nursing protocols) – Lecturer: Norbert Domonkos, MSc


Fluid and Electrolyte Balance Nursing Interventions (colloid solutions, parenteral nutrition guidelines) – Lecturer: Ágnes Glózik, MSc


Innovative Wound Care Techniques (VAC, hydro-surgery, larval therapy) – Lecturer: Brigitta Kovácsné Bilejov, APN, BSc


* The training follows a blended learning format, consisting of one in-person session (June 25, 2025) and pre-assigned course materials for individual study. Online materials will be accessible after the registration deadline, and the final assessment will take place during the in-person session.


The program will be conducted in Hungarian.
