Our second-year Nigerian nursing student, Danjuma Favour Dan, has been awarded the Stipendium Hungaricum Student Excellence Award. The official award ceremony took place on 5 November in Budapest, in the Hall of Mirrors of the Festetics Palace, where Danjuma Favour Dan personally received the recognition.
The Stipendium Hungaricum is a prestigious scholarship programme established by the Government of Hungary to support the higher education studies of international students in Hungary. Its aim is to promote the internationalisation of Hungarian higher education, strengthen cultural diversity, and enhance the global recognition of Hungarian science and culture.
Created by Government Decree 285/2013 (VII. 26.), the programme operates in line with the guidelines of the European Union and the European Higher Education Area, strengthening the international relations and global competitiveness of Hungarian institutions.

I am deeply grateful for the recognition and for how smoothly the ceremony went. It was truly a wonderful and memorable experience, and I feel honoured to have been part of it. Please extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Faculty for their support, encouragement, and for believing in me. I would love to dedicate this award to the Faculty in appreciation of their guidance, commitment, and continuous effort to inspire and shape students like me. Thank you once again for the nomination and for your constant support throughout the process.
