The Metripond-M93 company has donated a new, modern digital personal scale to the Faculty of Health Sciences and Social Studies at the University of Szeged, specifically to the Department of Preventive Health Care.
The department’s health visitor training program had already been using a Metripond-M93 device in everyday educational activities, but that model was an older, manual version. Now, however, the faculty has received a modern digital device that combines traditional reliability with state-of-the-art technology. The new scale was presented by András Háj, Managing Director of Metripond-M93, and was ceremoniously received by Dr. Orsolya Tobak, Head of Department and College Associate Professor. Students of the health visitor programme were also present at the event and immediately tried out the modern device, which is equipped with a built-in height-measuring rod.
The donated digital scale provides measurements with an accuracy of 0.1 kilograms, up to 150 kilograms, and one of its key advantages is the ability to easily retrieve previously recorded data. This feature is particularly valuable for statistical measurements and educational purposes.
Following the handover, the digital scale was immediately placed in the teaching room regularly used by health visitor students, replacing the previous manual Metripond-M93 model. The new device represents a significant step forward in developing the department’s educational and professional infrastructure, supporting students’ practice-oriented training with modern tools.
